Why do I need to book through Inspire Counseling Group if I’m using insurance?
To ensure seamless billing and dedicated administrative support, Rainy collaborates with Inspire Counseling Group to handle all insurance-based appointments and billing operations.
What are your session fees?
Individual Therapy: $150.00 per 55-minute session
Relationship Sessions: $160.00 per 55-minute session
Do you offer sliding scale or reduced fee options?
Yes! To keep therapy accessible, Rainy reserves a limited number of biweekly virtual appointments at reduced sliding-scale rates, based on household size and income. If the standard fees are out of reach, please reach out by email to Rainy@RainyBromsCounseling.com with your gross monthly household income and family size. Rainy will be glad to share guidelines and check current availability.
Are in-person visits available for cash-pay clients?
All in-person visits are conducted through Inspire Counseling Group at their Hazel Dell location ($150/session; sliding scale unavailable). Inspire also offers Intern sessions at $30/session. If you prefer to work with Rainy on a sliding scale, those sessions are offered exclusively via telehealth.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the No Surprises Act, all private-pay and sliding-scale therapy clients receive a formal Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlining anticipated costs prior to beginning treatment.
What do I need for a virtual therapy session?
For virtual sessions, you will need a private, confidential space, in WA or OR, where you feel comfortable speaking freely, a reliable internet connection, and a device equipped with a camera and microphone.
Can I book therapy sessions if I live outside Washington or Oregon?
Rainy’s individual and relationship therapy sessions require a clinical evaluation and treatment plan. Due to state licensing laws, Rainy can only provide therapy services to clients who are physically present in Washington or Oregon during the session. These services cannot be reclassified as coaching.
What should I expect for telehealth counseling?
Before your first session, Rainy will email intake documents to each partner. Once completed, you will receive a link to a secure, HIPAA-compliant video session at your scheduled time.
What can I do if my computer freezes or lags during video sessions?
We recommend clearing your browser cache, closing unnecessary background applications, and restarting your device prior to your session for the best experience.
How do virtual relationship sessions work best?
We recommend sitting together in the same room with a shared camera and microphone so Rainy can observe partner interactions. If separate locations are necessary, joining from separate devices is also welcome.
Please note: All participants must be physically located in Oregon or Washington during every session.
What is your policy for polycules or larger relationship groups?
To ensure everyone feels supported and heard, relationship therapy sessions have a maximum of three participants at a time. For larger polycules, Rainy offers flexible options such as group psychoeducation, extended sessions, or alternating couple/triad sessions. We invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with a designated spokesperson to discuss the best structure for your Polycule.
What are the benefits of group coaching?
Group coaching offers mutual accountability, shared community and encouragement, and a more accessible, cost-effective way to achieve your personal goals.
Why is the Getting Started Group structured as coaching?
The Getting Started Group focuses on practical tool building, goal setting, habit formation, and peer accountability rather than clinical therapy or emotional processing. This streamlined coaching approach keeps the program concise, accessible, and affordable while empowering participants with actionable strategies for long-term success.
How much does group coaching cost?

What are the benefits of group therapy?
Group therapy provides a safe, supportive space to connect with others facing similar experiences, reducing feelings of isolation.
Sessions balance structured learning with dedicated time to process insights and personal growth.
You are always in control of your comfort level and share only what feels comfortable for you.
Guided by a licensed professional to ensure healthy boundaries, thoughtful facilitation, and meaningful learning.
What are the fees for group therapy?
Group therapy is billed according to individual insurance contract rates, or a cash rate of $40 per group hour.
Where is Group Therapy located?
Because insurance or superbills are offered, they must go through Inspire Counseling Group. Depending on size and location of clients it will either be held in Hazel Dell, Vancouver, WA. or via telehealth.
Do you record sessions or use AI tools?
Rainy uses a secure, HIPAA-compliant documentation assistant that records audio solely to generate a transcript and assist in drafting clinical notes. Audio recordings are deleted immediately upon transcript creation, and transcripts are permanently deleted once final notes are finalized (typically within 48 hours). Rainy personally reviews and approves every note for accuracy. All data remains within a closed, confidential system and is never used to train public AI models.
Why does Rainy use AI-assisted note taking?
As an AuDHD clinician, Rainy utilizes this tool as an accessibility accommodation. It reduces administrative friction, allowing her to stay fully present and engaged with you during sessions without dividing attention to type notes manually.
Rainy thoughtfully considers the ethical, privacy, and environmental aspects of technology, choosing tools that strictly align with client confidentiality and clinical care standards.
Can I opt out of AI-assisted note taking?
Because this system serves as an essential accessibility accommodation for Rainy's practice, consenting to the documentation assistant is required for new clients. If you prefer a practice that does not utilize digital note assistants, Rainy is happy to offer trusted referrals.
What is your cancellation policy for therapy and coaching sessions?
We request at least 48 hours' advance notice for any session cancellations or rescheduling requests. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be billed at the regular session rate, as that dedicated time is reserved exclusively for you.
What happens if I arrive late to my session, or need to end early?
If you arrive late, your session will still conclude at the scheduled end time to honor subsequent appointments. Standard session fees will apply.
What happens if I miss multiple sessions, even with advance notice?
Therapeutic progress relies on consistent attendance, authentic engagement, and practicing insights between sessions. Frequent absences can interrupt momentum and outcomes. If attendance becomes an issue, Rainy will initiate a supportive dialogue to identify barriers and explore solutions. If missed sessions continue after this discussion, discharge from the practice may be considered.
What should I do if I am experiencing an immediate crisis or mental health emergency?
Please note that our practice does not provide 24/7 crisis response services. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, acute distress, or thoughts of self-harm, please immediately call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
How can I reach out between scheduled sessions?
For non-urgent administrative questions or scheduling updates, feel free to send an email or text message. Messages received outside business hours or during active sessions will be addressed within 24 hours of the next business day.
Please note that clinical therapy is never conducted over text or email.
